Davis hasn't played since Jan. 8 due to ligament damage in his left hand and can be considered week-to-week until the Wizards offer another update on his progress. However, with the team holding a 17-58 record, it wouldn't be surprising if the star big man doesn't return this season.

It's unclear when Washington will move on from the veteran guard, but if he's bought out, then he would certainly attract interest from playoff-contending teams looking to bolster their backcourt depth ahead of the postseason.
A "venous condition" is any disorder that affects the veins, but we'll likely have more clarity on precisely what Whitmore is dealing with at a later date. Whitmore will end his 2025-26 season with averages of 9.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game on 46 / 29 / 74 shooting splits.
George has been sidelined since March 2 due to a Grade 2 distal UCL tear in his left elbow and the Wizards had no incentive to rush him back to the court for the last couple weeks. The forward appeared in 48 regular-season contests with averages of 14.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.1 three-pointers on 43.8 percent shooting from the field.
Vukcevic, who's dealing with a bruised right knee, has a short turnaround Sunday, when the Wizards face the Nets in Brooklyn. Anthony Gill should take on the bulk of the center minutes Saturday.
