Gilgeous-Alexander hasn't played since Feb. 3 due to an abdominal strain and will remain out until next Friday's game against the Nuggets at the very earliest. With the superstar point guard and Ajay Mitchell (abdomen) both unavailable, Isaiah Joe, Jared Mc Cain and Nikola Topic are candidates for increased playing time.
Wednesday's game will be the second of a back-to-back set, so Hartenstein will get hit with a maintenance day. Chet Holmgren (back) isn't expected to play either, so Jaylin Williams could be looking at a spot-start and there will be more minutes available for Kenrich Williams and Branden Carlson.
Caruso was a candidate to rest anyways for the second leg of this back-to-back set, and his ankle issue pretty much guarantees that he's held out. Aaron Wiggins, Isaiah Joe and Kenrich Williams could see more opportunities with Caruso expected to sit.
Wednesday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, so this has all the makings of a maintenance day. Isaiah Hartenstein (rest) is also out, meaning the Thunder could rely heavily on Jaylin Williams.
Williams' right hamstring injury has given him plenty of issues so far this season, and the issue will cost him at least another two weeks. He aggravated the injury Feb. 11 against Phoenix and hasn't take the court since. The Thunder will continue to rely heavily on Alex Caruso, Aaron Wiggins and Cason Wallace, especially with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (abdomen) and Ajay Mitchell (abdomen) also out at least another week.
