Embiid will be held out due to right knee injury management, likely in an effort to ensure he goes into the All-Star break healthy with only one additional game remaining. Dominick Barlow (illness) is also out, opening up minutes for Trendon Watford, Adem Bona and Andre Drummond in the frontcourt.
The suspension will start with Saturday's game against the Pelicans and will keep George off the floor until late March. In his absence, Dominick Barlow figures to be the top candidate to enter the 76ers' starting lineup, and Kelly Oubre should also take on an expanded role for Philadelphia.
Grimes was a late addition to the injury report, which is almost never a good sign, and the club has since downgraded him to out. Look for Justin Edwards, Mar Jon Beauchamp and Patrick Baldwin to be in the mix for additional minutes with Grimes unavailable.
Barlow is a late addition to the injury report, so the team will presumably wait to see if he can make it through warmups before commenting further on his availability. Trendon Watford and Adem Bona could be in the mix for a start if Barlow ultimately can't go.
