Nets at Jazz: Money on the Floor, January 30, 2026
Markkanen will receive a scheduled night off after appearing in two straight games for the Jazz. Kyle Filipowski figures to be in line for the start at power forward in Markkanen's absence, while Kyle Anderson and Taylor Hendricks could be in line for some extra looks off the bench.
Nurkic was unable to shake his questionable tag for this contest. The same goes for Kevin Love (illness), leaving the Jazz shorthanded in the frontcourt. With this news, Kyle Filipowski and Taylor Hendricks could see expanded roles Friday.
Niang has yet to make his season debut while recovering from a fourth metatarsal stress reaction in his left foot, and he remains without a timetable for a return. He should be considered week-to-week until the Jazz offer an update on his progress.
This is a devastating blow for the Jazz and for Kessler's fantasy managers given his high price in drafts.

K. Love
Love will join Jusuf Nurkic (illness) on the sidelines for this one. Love is sitting out for the second straight game, but he remains day-to-day with a chance to return Sunday against Toronto.
Harkless played a season-high 21 minutes, sliding into the rotation for just the third time this season. While he did provide some nice energy on the defensive end, there is no indication that Harkless will be moving into a more permanent role anytime soon.
