Clippers at Bulls: Money on the Floor, January 20, 2026
Leonard was sidelined for the Clippers' overtime win over the Raptors on Friday due to an ankle injury, but the superstar forward has been sent home to get treatment for a lingering left knee issue. He won't be available Monday or Tuesday against the Wizards and Bulls, respectively, but could return for Thursday's bout against the Lakers. Kobe Sanders could remain in the Clippers' starting lineup for as long as Leonard is sidelined.
Bogdanovic has been sidelined since Dec. 26 with a left hamstring injury and won't return in the immediate future. Limited to 16 appearances this season, the veteran wing is averaging 8.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 22.5 minutes per game when available. With Bogdanovic not traveling on the Clippers' upcoming road trip, his next opportunity to suit up comes Jan. 22 against the Lakers.
Jones suffered a sprained right MCL on Nov. 16 in a loss to the Celtics and appeared in just four games before re-injuring the same knee in Saturday's loss to Boston. The 28-year-old forward is set to be re-evaluated during the All-Star break, meaning he isn't expected to return until mid-to-late February at the earliest. With Jones sidelined, Nicolas Batum, Kobe Sanders and Kobe Brown are candidates for increased playing time going forward.
This is a devastating blow for Beal and the Clippers. The official diagnosis is a fractured left hip, and an exact timetable has yet to be announced. Beal signed a two-year, $11 million deal with the Clippers prior to the season, and the second year of his deal includes a player option which he may be likely to pick up with this news. With Beal out for the season, the Clippers could lean pretty heavily on Kris Dunn. Guys like Bogdan Bogdanovic and Chris Paul could reemerge too, but they've been afterthoughts in the rotation for the most part.
