Cedric CowardUnavailableMEM

GOut

Coward was downgraded to doubtful ahead of Monday's matchup, so the fact that he's been ruled out isn't much of a surprise. This should open up plenty of opportunities for Walter Clayton, Jahmai Mashack and Cam Spencer in the backcourt.Back tomorrow

Taylor HendricksUnavailableMEM

FOut

As expected, Hendricks will miss the front end of this back-to-back set due to right thumb soreness. His next opportunity to play will come Tuesday in Philadelphia. With the Grizzlies set to be extremely shorthanded in the frontcourt, GG Jackson, Rayan Rupert and Olivier-Maxence Prosper should all see significant minutes.Back tomorrow

Scotty Pippen Jr.UnavailableMEM

GOut

As expected, the Grizzlies are downgrading Pippen from doubtful to out Monday. The expectation is that the guard will return to the lineup Tuesday, when Memphis takes on Philadelphia. Javon Small, Cam Spencer and Walter Clayton should each see plenty of playmaking opportunities for a Grizzlies team that has just eight active players Monday.Back tomorrow

Zach EdeyUnavailableMEM

COut For Season

Memphis announced Sunday that Edey would require surgery, but he wasn't officially ruled out for the rest of the season until after going under the knife Tuesday. The club expects the big man to make a full recovery ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.Out for season

Brandon ClarkeUnavailableMEM

FOut

Clarke has been sidelined since Dec. 20 with a Grade 2 right calf strain, an injury he sustained in just his second game back from offseason knee surgery. While the veteran forward was initially given a 4-to-6-week recovery timeline in mid-January, his return has been delayed as he works through the reconditioning process. This latest update suggests Clarke is unlikely to return before mid-March, potentially leaving him with only a handful of regular-season games to ramp up his workload. With Clarke still out and Zach Edey (ankle) also sidelined, the Grizzlies will continue to rely on Santi Aldama and GG Jackson to handle the bulk of the frontcourt minutes.Back in ~1 wk
