The star forward is unable to play through a sprained left ankle Tuesday. With Siakam sidelined, Kobe Brown and Obi Toppin (foot), who's expected to play Tuesday, should each see more playing time at power forward.
Back in July, the Pacers ruled Haliburton out for the 2025-26 season shortly after the star point guard underwent surgery to address the Achilles tendon he tore in Indiana's loss to Oklahoma City in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. While the Pacers' stance with Haliburton doesn't appear to have changed amid a non-contending season, the 25-year-old is seemingly coming along even faster than anticipated during his rehab process. If Haliburton is able to advance to 5-on-5 work by the spring, he'll likely be in line for a relatively normal offseason and should be free of restrictions for the start of training camp next fall.
Nembhard isn't yet ready to return from a back issue and will miss his fourth consecutive game as a result of the injury. His next opportunity to take the floor will arrive Thursday in Brooklyn.
This is a major blow to Indiana's frontcourt. Based on the timetable for healing, the Pacers didn't feel like Zubac would be 100 percent in time for the remaining games, and with nothing to play for, they have no incentive to rush him back.
Nesmith will mis his fifth straight game while battling a neck injury. He's once again been downgraded to out a full day ahead of Indiana's upcoming matchup, so he doesn't appear close to a return. Nesmith can be considered doubtful for Thursday's tilt in Brooklyn until further notice.
Mc Connell hasn't taken the court since March 29 while tending to a hamstring injury. His next chance to suit up will arrive Thursday in Brooklyn, though the team has yet to provide any indication that he's close to a return.
This will be the second straight game on the sidelines for Sheppard, which should lead to more minutes for Ethan Thompson, Kam Jones and Quenton Jackson. Sheppard's next chance to play will come Thursday in Brooklyn.
Furphy started in 21 of 35 regular-season appearances for the Pacers, posting averages of 5.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.7 three-pointers in 18.4 minutes per contest. While no timetable has been announced, Furphy's absence could extend through the beginning of the 2026-27 season. With this news, the Pacers will likely lean more on Ben Sheppard, Kam Jones and Quenton Jackson moving forward.
