Davis hasn't played since Jan. 8 due to ligament damage in his left hand and can be considered week-to-week until the Wizards offer another update on his progress. However, with the team holding a 17-58 record, it wouldn't be surprising if the star big man doesn't return this season.
Young hasn't played since March 16, and while the Wizards continue to treat him as day-to-day, it'd be surprising if the veteran point guard suited up during the final week of the regular season. In his absence, Bub Carrington, Jaden Hardy and Sharife Cooper remain candidates for increased roles.
Sarr will miss a fifth straight game, including both halves of Washington's weekend back-to-back set. In his absence, Tristan Vukcevic (knee) is a candidate for increased playing time, but if he's also sidelined, Anthony Gill and Julian Reese would likely be thrust into expanded roles.
After posting 11 points (5-13 FG), four assists and three rebounds in 25 minutes during Saturday's loss in Miami, Johnson will miss the second half of Washington's back-to-back set. Given the lengthy injury report, Jaden Hardy, Jamir Watkins and Sharife Cooper are candidates for increased roles.
Coulibaly will miss the second half of Washington's back-to-back set after posting 12 points (5-13 FG, 0-2 3 Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, three blocks, two assists and two steals across 25 minutes during Saturday's 152-136 loss to Miami. His next chance to suit up will come Tuesday against the Bulls. Given the Wizards' lengthy injury report, Leaky Black and Jamir Watkins are candidates for increased roles.
Out
D. Russell
Russell isn't expected to suit up for the Wizards after being acquired from the Mavericks ahead of the trade deadline. It's unclear when Washington will move on from the veteran guard, but if he's bought out, then he would certainly attract interest from playoff-contending teams looking to bolster their backcourt depth ahead of the postseason.
A "venous condition" is any disorder that affects the veins, but we'll likely have more clarity on precisely what Whitmore is dealing with at a later date. Whitmore will end his 2025-26 season with averages of 9.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game on 46 / 29 / 74 shooting splits.
George has been sidelined since March 2 due to a Grade 2 distal UCL tear in his left elbow and the Wizards had no incentive to rush him back to the court for the last couple weeks. The forward appeared in 48 regular-season contests with averages of 14.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.1 three-pointers on 43.8 percent shooting from the field.
Vukcevic will miss both halves of Washington's weekend back-to-back set. With Alex Sarr (toe) already out, Anthony Gill and Julian Reese are candidates for increased roles.
Champagnie will rest during the second half of Washington's weekend back-to-back set after posting 12 points (4-9 FG, 1-2 3 Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 21 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 152-136 loss to the Heat. With the Wizards' lengthy injury report, Jamir Watkins, Leaky Black and Julian Reese are candidates for increased roles.
