Curry was able to practice in full for the first time since suffering a knee injury Jan. 30 against Detroit, which included participating in a five-on-five scrimmage after practice, per Amick and Friedell. The goal is for Curry to return to game action Sunday, assuming he checks out fine following Tuesday's activities. The sharpshooter has already been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup with San Antonio and is being considered doubtful for Thursday against Cleveland, so he looks to have at least a few more days to make sure his knee feels strong before potentially facing live competition. The Warriors should have additional updates on Curry's status as Sunday approaches.
Butler suffered a season-ending ACL injury Jan. 19 against Miami, and he's since gone under the knife so that he can begin the recovery process. It's promising news that the procedure went as expected, though it's still too early to try to predict a timeline for Butler's return. The Warriors stated that an update on his progress will be disclosed early in the 2026-27 campaign.
Porzingis will get a night off after appearing in four straight matchups for Golden State. Al Horford (calf) and Quinten Post (foot) have also been ruled out, leaving the Warriors awfully thin at center. Expect Draymond Green to get some run there Wednesday along with Omer Yurtseven. Malevy Leons and Nate Williams could also factor more heavily into the rotation with Porzingis sidelined.
The diagnosis ends Moody's season, and he'll require a long recovery period. Through 60 regular-season appearances, the fifth-year swingman averaged a career-high 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steals in 25.7 minutes per game. With Moody's campaign now over, De'Anthony Melton and Gary Payton should continue to help pick up the slack in the Golden State backcourt down the stretch.
Horford hasn't played since March 13 due to the calf injury and won't return until early April at the earliest. His next opportunity to play will come April 5 against the Rockets. With the veteran big man still on the shelf, Omer Yurtseven and Quinten Post (foot) are candidates for increased burn off the bench.
Payton will miss the front end of the Warriors' back-to-back set due to right knee injury management, but he should be available for Thursday's contest against the Cavaliers. Will Richard, Seth Curry and Nate Williams are all candidates to see a bump in minutes in Payton's absence.
The thumb injury is a new concern for Melton, whose next opportunity to suit up will come Thursday against Cleveland. Will Richard, Pat Spencer and Gary Payton (knee) are candidates for expanded roles in Melton's stead.
Santos will miss the front end of this back-to-back set due to a right pelvic contusion, marking his first absence since Jan. 19. His next chance to play will come Thursday against the Cavaliers. With the Warriors set to be very shorthanded in the frontcourt, Malevy Leons and Nate Williams could see a significant bump in minutes.
Post departed Sunday's matchup against Denver due to right foot soreness, though it's worth noting that he's been ruled out Wednesday due to right foot injury management, so this appears to be a precautionary decision. Draymond Green and Omer Yurtseven should be in line for opportunities at center with Post, Al Horford (calf) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) listed out.
