After missing Sacramento's final three outings before the All-Star break due to right finger soreness, La Vine is scheduled to undergo season-ending surgery. The veteran swingman will finish the season with averages of 19.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 31.4 minutes per contest in 39 regular-season games (37 starts). He holds a $48.97 million player option for the 2026-27 campaign. With La Vine sidelined, Nique Clifford should continue to see an expanded role, while Malik Monk (illness) and Devin Carter are also candidates for increased playing time.
With the 12-44 Kings' season circling the drain, Sabonis elected to go under the knife after attempting play through the injury this season. The star big man averaged 15.8 points, 11.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 29.7 minutes per tilt across a career-low 19 games this year before going down. With Dylan Cardwell (ankle) now sidelined for the foreseeable future, rookie second-rounder Maxime Raynaud has a big opportunity to seize the lion's share of the center minutes going forward.
De Rozan had 22 points across 30 minutes in Saturday's 123-113 loss to Atlanta. However, the veteran won't be available versus Brooklyn due to hamstring soreness. With Malik Monk (shoulder) also out, among several others, Killian Hayes, Da Quan Jeffries, Nique Clifford and Daeqwon Plowden should all receive more minutes, with two of those players potentially moving into the starting lineup.
Hunter only managed to suit up for two games for Sacramento before opting to undergo a season-ending procedure on his eye, but this shouldn't be something that impacts his status for next year's training camp. Hunter will end his 2025-26 campaign with averages of 13.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 triples per game.
Monk started in each of the Kings' last three contests, most recently finishing with 10 points, two rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 27 minutes in Saturday's 123-113 loss to Atlanta. However, he won't suit up for this one due to a right-shoulder contusion. With De Mar De Rozan (hamstring) also ruled out, among several others on the roster, Da Quan Jeffries, Nique Clifford, Daeqwon Plowden and Killian Hayes should all see more action, with two of them possibly moving into the starting lineup.
Murray has battled a left ankle injury for most of the calendar year, and while he's making progress, each day that goes by lowers his chances of returning in 2025-26. The Kings sit at the bottom of the Western Conference standings, so there's little incentive to rush Murray back.
Out
R. Westbrook
Westbrook has been sidelined with what was previously reported as right foot soreness, but an MRI revealed that the injury is in the first toe of his right foot. Without an established timeline to return and the Kings eliminated from postseason contention, it's possible that the 2016-17 MVP could be sidelined for the rest of the regular season. In the meantime, Killian Hayes (foot), Devin Carter and Malik Monk should all continue to operate in elevated roles due to the absences of Westbrook and Nique Clifford (foot).
Out For Season
D. Eubanks
Eubanks will end his 2025-26 campaign with averages of 5.2 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. The 28-year-old big man should be healthy by training camp next season, but he'll be looking for a new contract as a free agent this summer.
Out
I. Stevens
The two-way player hasn't made an appearance for Sacramento since the All-Star break, so he presumably sustained the injury during his most recent game in the G League with the Stockton Kings on Saturday. Over his three appearances at the NBA level on the season, Stevens is averaging 3.3 points, 3.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 rebounds in 14.3 minutes.
