In three weeks from today's date, the Nets will only have three games remaining on their schedule, so there's a decent chance we won't see Porter in uniform again this season. Danny Wolf, Josh Minott and Ziaire Williams will help fill the void while Porter is out.
Demin was shut down for the season earlier in March due to a lingering battle with plantar fasciitis. The rookie guard underwent a procedure to address the issue, and it looks like he'll be ready in more than enough time for the start of the 2026-27 campaign. Demin logged 10.3 points, 3.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds across 25.2 minutes per game in 2025-26.
This is a tough blow for Sharpe, who was in the process of putting together one of the best campaigns of his young NBA career. He averaged 8.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 62 games. Both Danny Wolf and Josh Minott should be in the mix for backup center minutes with Sharpe sidelined.
It will be Wolf's fourth consecutive absence. With the Nets going nowhere near the playoffs, it's hard to tell if the rookie will be back on the floor again this season. As far as Sunday's contest is concerned, Ziaire Williams should be considered a favorite to remain in the starting lineup.
With Minott out, there will be more minutes available for Ochai Agbaji and Chaney Johnson. For now, Minott should be considered questionable for Tuesday's meeting with the Hornets.
Wilson popped up on Sunday's injury report due to an illness, and he saw he status go from probable to questionable before eventually being scratched. Terance Mann and Ochai Agbaji are slated for more minutes due to Wilson's absence. Wilson's next chance to play is Tuesday against the Hornets.
