Kings at Clippers: Money on the Floor, March 14, 2026
After missing Sacramento's final three outings before the All-Star break due to right finger soreness, La Vine is scheduled to undergo season-ending surgery. The veteran swingman will finish the season with averages of 19.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 31.4 minutes per contest in 39 regular-season games (37 starts). He holds a $48.97 million player option for the 2026-27 campaign. With La Vine sidelined, Nique Clifford should continue to see an expanded role, while Malik Monk (illness) and Devin Carter are also candidates for increased playing time.
With the 12-44 Kings' season circling the drain, Sabonis elected to go under the knife after attempting play through the injury this season. The star big man averaged 15.8 points, 11.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 29.7 minutes per tilt across a career-low 19 games this year before going down. With Dylan Cardwell (ankle) now sidelined for the foreseeable future, rookie second-rounder Maxime Raynaud has a big opportunity to seize the lion's share of the center minutes going forward.
Hunter only managed to suit up for two games for Sacramento before opting to undergo a season-ending procedure on his eye, but this shouldn't be something that impacts his status for next year's training camp. Hunter will end his 2025-26 campaign with averages of 13.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 triples per game.
Monk injured his right ankle during the Kings' 114-109 win over the Pacers on Tuesday. The injury is severe enough for the veteran guard to be sidelined for a second consecutive game, and his next opportunity to play is Sunday against the Jazz in Sacramento. Killian Hayes will operate in an elevated role off the bench in Monk's absence.
Re-evaluated doesn't mean "will return," and with the Kings sitting on the worst record in the Western Conference, there's not much incentive for Murray to rush back to the court. Precious Achiuwa has been the primary beneficiary in Murray's absence.
This will be Carter's second straight game on the sidelines, but maybe he'll be able to get back out there for Sunday's meeting with the Jazz. Killian Hayes will get the backup minutes behind Russell Westbrook with Carter unavailable.
Out
D. Eubanks
Eubanks was sidelined for approximately two weeks in December due to a left thumb avulsion fracture. It's not clear whether he recently aggravated the injury or it's simply managing the issue. Regardless, Eubanks will sit for the front end of the Kings' back-to-back set, and his next opportunity to play is Sunday against the Jazz. Dylan Cardwell should operate in an elevated role off the bench in Eubanks' absence.
Out
I. Stevens
Stevens missed the G League Kings' last two games due to right thigh soreness but is off the injury report for the parent club's game Thursday. The two-way player hasn't seen the court at the NBA level since Feb. 11 and isn't guaranteed to do so Thursday.
