Suns at Pacers: Money on the Floor, March 12, 2026
No surprise here, as Siakam was originally considered doubtful for this contest. With this news, Kobe Brown and Micah Potter could see additional minutes Thursday.
Back in July, the Pacers ruled Haliburton out for the 2025-26 season shortly after the star point guard underwent surgery to address the Achilles tendon he tore in Indiana's loss to Oklahoma City in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. While the Pacers' stance with Haliburton doesn't appear to have changed amid a non-contending season, the 25-year-old is seemingly coming along even faster than anticipated during his rehab process. If Haliburton is able to advance to 5-on-5 work by the spring, he'll likely be in line for a relatively normal offseason and should be free of restrictions for the start of training camp next fall.
Toppin will hit the sidelines for the first leg of this back-to-back set, but maybe he'll be able to get back out there for Friday's game against the Knicks. Toppin's absence should open up some minutes for Kobe Brown and Micah Potter.
Nesmith's next chance to play comes during the second half of Indiana's back-to-back set versus the Knicks on Friday. The swingman's absence opens the door for Ben Sheppard and Kam Jones to see significant playing time on the wing Thursday.
Mc Connell suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday's game against Portland, and he's now in line to miss a second straight game. Expect Kam Jones and Ben Sheppard to see extended minutes in the backcourt with Aaron Nesmith (ankle) and Quenton Jackson (calf) also out.
Furphy started in 21 of 35 regular-season appearances for the Pacers, posting averages of 5.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.7 three-pointers in 18.4 minutes per contest. While no timetable has been announced, Furphy's absence could extend through the beginning of the 2026-27 season. With this news, the Pacers will likely lean more on Ben Sheppard, Kam Jones and Quenton Jackson moving forward.
Jackson can be considered day-to-day, with a quick turnaround on the horizon Friday versus the Knicks. With several Pacers still up in the air for Thursday, Ben Sheppard is lined up for a significant role in the backcourt against the Suns.
