Cunningham was initially listed as questionable for Saturday's contest, but the All-Star's left quad contusion is severe enough for him to sit out for the first leg of the Pistons' back-to-back set. Daniss Jenkins should serve as Detroit's starting point guard while Caris Le Vert, Kevin Huerter and Javonte Green are candidates to enter the starting five. Cunningham's next opportunity to play is Sunday against the Heat.
Thompson sprained his right ankle during the first quarter of the Pistons' 121-106 loss to the Spurs on Thursday. He was already ruled out for Saturday's game against the Nets, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him sidelined for Sunday's road tilt against Miami. Kevin Huerter, Caris Le Vert and Javonte Green are all candidates to enter the Pistons' starting lineup in Thompson's absence.
