La Vine is dealing with right finger soreness and won't suit up in the second half of this back-to-back set. The veteran swingman's absence should open up more minutes for Nique Clifford, Malik Monk and Devin Carter. La Vine's next chance to play will come on the road against the Pelicans on Monday.
Sabonis will end up missing both games of the Kings' back-to-back set while managing a lingering back injury, and his next chance to play is Monday against the Pelicans. Maxime Raynaud and rookie Dylan Cardwell will continue to operate in elevated roles for as long as Sabonis is sidelined.
Hunter picked up a left eye injury Friday against the Clippers and was unable to return to the contest. With Hunter sidelined, that could result in more minutes for Daeqwon Plowden on the wings.
Monk was coming off an 18-point performance in the loss to the Clippers on Friday, but he won't be able to suit up in the second leg of this back-to-back set. Monk, who has scored in double digits in all but one of his last nine appearances off the bench, will aim to return against the Pelicans on Monday.
Murray has been cleared to resume on-court activities amidst his recovery from a left ankle sprain. However, the timetable for his return now appears likely to put him out of action until sometime after the mid-February All-Star break. Until De'Andre Hunter is ready to make his Kings debut, Malik Monk and Nique Clifford should both continue to occupy a sizable role in the rotation.
