Curry will miss a second consecutive game while working through a right knee injury, and his next opportunity to play is Saturday against the Lakers. Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody and Gui Santos should continue to operate in expanded roles for as long as Curry is sidelined.
The injury appeared severe and forced Butler to be removed from the game. Butler's absence is a difficult blow for the Warriors. Expect more minutes for Buddy Hield, Moses Moody, and Gary Payton. Butler's injury could also maybe force the return of Jonathan Kuminga to coach Steve Kerr's rotation.
Kuminga and the Warriors' relationship had been frayed for a while, and the two sides will finally split. Kuminga has been sidelined since Jan 22 due to a bone bruise in his left knee. Still just 23 years old, Kuminga has plenty of untapped potential, and Atlanta could be the right spot to tap into that upside. The forward's likeliest path to playing time will come as Jalen Johnson's backup, though he'll have to compete with Mouhamed Gueye and Asa Newell for minutes at the power forward spot. It's unlikely Kuminga will be available in time for Thursday's game against Utah, which would make his next chance to play Saturday against the Hornets.
Hield joins the Hawks after two seasons in Golden State. The 33-year-old is averaging 8.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 17.5 minutes per game this season while shooting what would be a career-low 34.2 percent from three-point land. He'll have to compete with Corey Kispert and Luke Kennard for minutes off the bench in Atlanta. Hield likely won't be ready in time to face the Jazz on Thursday, making Saturday against Charlotte his next chance to make his Hawks debut.

S. Curry
Curry is still recovering from left sciatic nerve irritation and hasn't played since Dec. 4. The veteran swingman wasn't a regular part of the rotation before the injury, so he isn't guaranteed to see significant burn on a nightly basis when he returns. He's set to be re-evaluated during the All-Star break, so his next opportunity to play will come Feb. 19 against Boston.
Jackson-Davis will depart the Warriors after two-plus seasons with the team. The 25-year-old big man appeared in 36 games for Golden State, averaging 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds across 11.4 minutes. With Jakob Poeltl (back) out indefinitely, Jackson-Davis will jockey with Collin Murray-Boyles, Sandro Mamukelashvili and Jamison Battle for frontcourt minutes.
Cryer will end up missing his fifth consecutive game due to left hamstring injury management, though the fact that he was listed as questionable heading into the day before being downgraded suggests that his return is imminent. Once he's back to full health, the two-way player is unlikely to be a regular factor in the Golden State rotation and could join the Warriors' G League affiliate to see more consistent minutes.
