Lillard underwent surgery on a torn Achilles tendon in his left foot over the summer after suffering the injury during the first round of the NBA playoffs with the Bucks against the Pacers. The veteran guard was then waived by Milwaukee on July 1, making him an unrestricted free agent. The future Hall of Famer then decided to return to the Blazers on a three-year contract worth $42 million with a player option for the 2027-28 season. He also has a no-trade clause in his deal.
Thybulle underwent thumb surgery in late October to repair a torn UCL, and he's also dealing with right knee tendinopathy. The 28-year-old swingman remains without a timetable for a return and should be considered week-to-week until Portland offers an update on his progress.
It's a significant step forward for Henderson, who is entering the final stages of his rehab from a torn left hamstring that's prevented him from making his season debut. The third-year guard is likely to require a ramp-up period before being cleared for game action, and Henderson is also slated for heavy restrictions once he's deemed ready to take the court for Portland.
There have been no reports of Murray making positive progress in his recovery, so he should be viewed as week-to-week moving forward. Murray's minutes will continue to be divvied up amongst Sidy Cissoko and Rayan Rupert.
A fifth metatarsal fracture is a notoriously tough injury to recover from, and there's a high chance of experiencing a setback if brought back too soon, so it wouldn't be shocking to see his absence extend beyond this 12-week window. At minimum, he'll be out through the end of December, so he can safely remain on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues.
Reath was diagnosed with a stress reaction in his right foot, which required surgery, and his 2025-26 campaign is now over. Before going down, the 29-year-old big man averaged 2.9 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 8.1 minutes per contest through games this season. With Reath now done for the year, Robert Williams is in line to serve as Portland's primary backup at center behind Donovan Clingan the rest of the way.
