Hartenstein hasn't seen the court since Dec. 28 while on the mend from a right calf strain. The team has provided zero indication that he's closing in on a return, but his next chance to take the court will arrive Thursday in Minnesota.
Caruso is sidelined for a fourth straight contest and carries no clear timetable for a return to the floor. With Oklahoma City also missing Ajay Mitchell (abdomen), Luguentz Dort, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins should all see enough playing time on the wing to warrant streaming consideration.
This is a brutal blow for the Thunder and for Williams' fantasy managers. Williams is battling a right hamstring strain, and those tend to linger if not treated properly. Based on this re-evaluation timeline, the earliest possible return for Williams would be Feb. 3 against the Magic. In the meantime, players such as Cason Wallace, Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins, Alex Caruso and Kenrich Williams could be a bit more involved for the Thunder.
Alex Caruso (adductor) and Ajay Mitchell (abdominal) will join Wallace on the sidelines for Tuesday's game, leaving the Thunder's backcourt quite thin. Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins will have a chance for major minutes Tuesday with Oklahoma City banged up, so both those guys are on the radar as potential streamers in deep leagues. Wallace's next chance to play will come Thursday in Minnesota.
Tuesday is marking a third consecutive absence for Mitchell, whose next chance to return to action comes Thursday in Minnesota. With Alex Caruso (adductor) joining Mitchell in street clothes, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins appear to be worthy of streaming consideration.
