Hornets at Clippers: Money on the Floor, January 12, 2026
Sexton will miss his first game since Dec. 22 due to left hamstring soreness, and his next opportunity to play will come Thursday against the Lakers. With the 27-year-old guard unavailable, Sion James, Josh Green and Tre Mann are candidates for increased minutes.
Out
P. Connaughton
Connaughton was upgraded to questionable leading up to Monday's matchup, but he's since been ruled out while dealing with an illness. His next chance to take the court will arrive Thursday against the Lakers.
Out
M. Plumlee
Plumlee had missed four consecutive games with a strained right groin before going under the knife. The veteran center will be sidelined until at least mid-February. While he's sidelined, PJ Hall will likely step into the third-string center role behind Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) and Moussa Diabate.
